Hrísey offers some marked hiking trails to discover this beautiful island. On the ferry from Árskogssandur, you can get a little brochure about the island including the trails. The hike is not possible in snowy condition.

Hrísey is about 11,5 square kilometres. The island is about 7 km long and 2,5 km at its widest.
